Congressman David Rouzer from North Carolina issued a critical statement in response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union Address. Rouzer expressed his dissatisfaction with the President's speech, stating, "The President’s speech tonight was in denial of reality." He pointed out the impact of excessive spending under the Biden administration, leading to rampant inflation.

Rouzer also criticized President Biden's open-border policies, highlighting the safety concerns and influx of drugs into communities. He raised concerns about the administration's foreign policy, stating, "liberty and freedom are in retreat and tyranny is on the march, including the terrorists crossing our border." Rouzer emphasized the unstable and dangerous global environment created by the current administration.

In an effort to underscore the consequences of Biden's open-border policies, Congressman Rouzer invited Bladen County Sheriff Jim McVicker to the State of the Union Address. Sheriff McVicker shared his firsthand experience, stating, "As Sheriff of Bladen County, I have a front row seat to President Biden's open-border policies that are fueling a drug and crime crisis." He highlighted the increase in crime, loss of lives, and lack of support for law enforcement in combating these issues.

Sheriff McVicker expressed his honor in attending the State of the Union alongside Congressman Rouzer and urged President Biden to listen to those directly impacted by the consequences of open borders. The joint statement from Rouzer and Sheriff McVicker reflects a strong stance against the current administration's policies and calls for prioritizing the safety and security of American communities.
