Rep. David Rouzer, who represents North Carolina’s 7th congressional district, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account highlighting local events and legislative initiatives in early September 2025.

On September 1, Rouzer extended holiday wishes to his constituents, stating, “Wishing the hardworking folks of NC-07 a safe and restful Labor Day! Today we honor the grit, determination, and dignity of America’s workers. Your contributions power our communities and our country!”

Two days later, on September 3, he shared details from a recent visit to Fayetteville: “Met with Cape Fear Valley Health System and toured their medical center in Fayetteville last week! CFVH and Methodist University are working hard to bring the first medical school to Fayetteville in 2026!”

Later that same day, Rouzer expressed support for new disaster relief legislation: “Proud to support the bipartisan FEMA Act of 2025, which includes several of my own legislative provisions, because disaster relief should be fast, fair, and focused on results — not buried in red tape. This bill cuts bureaucracy, speeds recovery, and puts survivors first. Listen”

Rouzer has represented North Carolina’s 7th district since winning his first election in 2014. He has consistently secured re-election over the past decade with margins ranging from approximately 55% to over 60% of the vote against various challengers. In recent elections he defeated Marlando Pridgen in 2024 with nearly 59% of the vote and Charles Graham in 2022 with about 58%, continuing a trend established since his initial victory over Jonathan Barfield Jr. in 2014.
