On Saturday, April 5, former Eugene Ashley High School standout Branton Jernigan’s current college team, the UNC Greensboro Spartans, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers.

The game took place at Thomas Baseball Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Buccaneers this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at David F. Couch Ballpark against Wake Forest Deacons.
