Brunswick County has issued a Stage 1 Water Conservation Alert due to high demand exceeding capacity ahead of Independence Day celebrations. The alert requests voluntary reductions from public utilities customers across multiple communities but does not affect private well users or certain golf courses using reclaimed water.
Southeast North Carolina Local Government Meeting today — event starts at 5:30 pm.
The Senior Resource Center in New Hanover County is seeking volunteer drivers for its Home Delivered Meals Program serving over 650 older adults each weekday. Volunteers help address food insecurity while offering important social contact and safety checks.
