The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the One Big Beautiful Bill, with Congressman David Rouzer expressing his support for the legislation, which aligns with President Trump’s America First Agenda.
“Thursday morning marked an exciting and historic victory for the American people with House passage of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. This monumental legislation is a win for hardworking families in North Carolina and across the nation. It’s a testament to the unwavering commitment of House Republicans and President Trump to securing our borders, improving our economy, and ensuring American workers come first,” said Congressman Rouzer. “I’m proud to support this bill which will boost job creation, reduce burdensome regulations, and strengthen our national security.”
The bill includes several key provisions such as making the Trump Tax Cuts permanent, investing significantly in border security, incentivizing manufacturing within the United States by rewarding new factories built domestically, and offering tax breaks for purchasing American-made cars.
Additional elements of the bill include no taxes on tips or overtime work, reduced taxes on Social Security aimed at providing relief to seniors, increased paychecks for workers, expansion of American energy production, updates to air traffic control systems for improved safety and efficiency in flying, investments in military modernization including shipbuilding projects under the Golden Dome initiative.
Moreover, it seeks to protect Medicaid and SNAP benefits by addressing wasteful practices while maintaining eligibility for Americans reliant on these programs.
