On Sunday, April 6, former John T. Hoggard High School standouts Logan Ponnett and Spencer Nolan’s current college team, the Charlotte 49ers, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Wichita State Shockers.

The game took place at Hayes Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Shockers this season.

The 49ers’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at Kannapolis Atrium Health Ballpark against Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.
