National police week celebrated by Rep. David Rouzer

Rep. David Rouzer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 7th district, shared a series of tweets recognizing important observances and expressing gratitude towards public service members. Rouzer has been in Congress since 2015 after replacing Mike McIntyre and previously served in the North Carolina Senate from 2009 to 2013.

On May 12, Rep. Rouzer acknowledged National Police Week by tweeting, “This week we celebrate National Police Week— honoring the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities! I would like to give a special thank you to the dedicated officers in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.”

In another tweet on May 14, he emphasized Military Appreciation Month: “May is Military Appreciation Month — a time to recognize the heroic men and women who serve our nation. I’m especially proud of the dedicated service members in NC-07! Thank you for your sacrifice.”

Continuing his appreciation for law enforcement during National Police Week, Rep. Rouzer on May 15 expressed gratitude towards specific officers: “As we continue to celebrate National Police Week, I want to thank Officer Caitlin Hutchins (Carolina Beach PD), Detective Jameson Hutchins (Wilmington PD), Sergeant Rebecca Allen, and Captain Jeff Beck (Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office) for their unwavering service.”

David Rouzer was born in Landstuhl, West Germany in 1972 and resides in Wilmington. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS degree in 1994.
