The New Hanover County Inspections Department Advisory Council has canceled its meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The meeting was to be held at 4:00 p.m. in Conference Rooms 136-137 at the New Hanover County Government Center, located at 230 Government Center Drive in Wilmington.

In related local education data, recent figures show that in the 2022-23 school year, about 30.1% of senior students and 27.2% of junior students in New Hanover County school districts were considered ready for college on the science portion of the ACT (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). For reading, approximately 43.8% of seniors and 41.3% of juniors met college readiness standards (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/).
