On Tuesday, April 8, former Topsail High School standout Sydney Hartgrove’s current college team, the Virginia Cavaliers, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Liberty Lady Flames.

The game took place at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Lady Flames this season.

The Cavaliers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Palmer Park against Syracuse Orange.
