Rep. David Rouzer, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on his official social media account in early October 2025 addressing recent international and domestic developments. The tweets focused on the anniversary of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, the ongoing U.S. government shutdown, and a new diplomatic agreement in the Middle East.

On October 7, 2025, Rouzer commemorated the two-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, stating, “Two years ago today, Hamas launched a brutal terrorist attack on Israel, murdering innocent civilians and taking hostages. Today, we honor the lives lost, pray for the families, and stand with those still in captivity. The United States must always stand with Israel and confront https://t.co/ByW8sMTIBI”.

The following day, October 8, Rouzer addressed the ongoing government shutdown, writing, “It’s been one week since the Democrats shut down the government. If the Democrats don’t vote to open the government by the end of the week, our troops and federal employees will miss a paycheck, women, infants, and children won’t receive food assistance, and FEMA funding to”.

On October 9, Rouzer expressed appreciation for recent diplomatic efforts in the Middle East, posting, “Grateful to President Trump and Secretary Rubio for helping broker a critical deal between Israel and Hamas. This is a vital step toward stability in the region and a strong show of American leadership on the world stage.”

Rouzer has served as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 7th congressional district since 2015. He has consistently secured reelection, most recently defeating Marlando Pridgen in the 2024 general election with 58.6% of the vote to Pridgen’s 41.4%. In previous elections, Rouzer also defeated Charles Graham in 2022, Chris Ward in 2020, Kyle Horton in 2018, J. Wesley Casteen in 2016, and Jonathan Barfield Jr. in 2014.

These recent posts reflect Rouzer’s ongoing focus on foreign policy concerning Israel and domestic issues related to government operations.
