Rep. David Rouzer, a U.S. Congressman from North Carolina, recently shared updates on his social media account about meetings with local leaders and law enforcement in Brunswick County, as well as expressing condolences for the Cheney family.

On November 4, 2025, Rouzer posted a tribute to former Vice President Dick Cheney: “No one served our country better during a greater time of need than former Vice President Dick Cheney. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cheney family.”

The following day, on November 5, 2025, he reported on his engagement with community leaders: “I recently had a productive meeting with some of Brunswick county’s local leaders. Grateful for their partnership and commitment to serving our communities!”

On November 6, 2025, Rouzer highlighted discussions with law enforcement amid a government shutdown: “I met with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office to discuss how the government shutdown is impacting their operations and the community they serve. Our law enforcement officers deserve full support and resources to keep our communities safe. It’s time to reopen the government and”

David Rouzer has represented North Carolina’s 7th congressional district since first winning election in 2014. He has consistently secured re-election in subsequent general elections—defeating Jonathan Barfield Jr. in 2014 (59.4% to 37.1%), J. Wesley Casteen in 2016 (60.9% to 39.1%), Kyle Horton in 2018 (55.5% to 42.8%), Chris Ward in 2020 (60.2% to 39.6%), Charles Graham in 2022 (57.7% to 42.3%), and Marlando Pridgen in 2024 (58.6% to 41.4%).
