Rep. David Rouzer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 7th district, shared a series of tweets discussing recent legislative developments and expressing condolences over a tragic incident involving Israeli Embassy staffers.

On May 21, 2025, Rep. Rouzer tweeted about a new legislative initiative: “The One Big Beautiful Bill protects NC-07’s 550,300 taxpayers from the largest tax hike in history. This bill delivers real relief for working families, farmers, and small businesses!” The tweet emphasizes the potential benefits of the bill for his constituents and highlights its focus on providing relief to various groups within North Carolina.

The following day, on May 22, 2025, Rep. Rouzer expressed his condolences regarding an act of violence in Washington D.C., stating: “My thoughts and prayers are with all Israelis, especially the family and loved ones of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, Israeli Embassy staffers who were murdered last night in Washington, DC. This blatant act of antisemitism has no place on American soil.” His message reflects concern over acts of violence motivated by hate.

Later that same day, he announced a significant legislative achievement: “This morning, my Republican colleagues and I passed President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. This monumental legislation is a win for hardworking families in North Carolina and across the nation— the Senate needs to act NOW.” The tweet underscores his support for President Trump’s legislative agenda and urges prompt action from the Senate.

David Rouzer has been representing North Carolina’s 7th District since replacing Mike McIntyre in 2015. Prior to this role, he served in the North Carolina Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Landstuhl, West Germany in 1972 and now residing in Wilmington at age 51, Rouzer graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994.
