Rep. David Rouzer, a U.S. Congressman representing North Carolina’s 7th district, recently highlighted achievements in space exploration and infrastructure investment in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On May 13, 2026, Rouzer shared his enthusiasm for the Artemis II mission and recognized the accomplishments of one of its crew members: “Go Wolfpack to the moon and back! Honored to meet the Artemis II astronauts, especially NC State alumna Christina Koch, at the U.S. Capitol and congratulate the crew on the success of their 10-day mission to space.”

The following day, Rouzer addressed North Carolina’s economic growth and transportation needs after attending a regional summit: “For a growing state like North Carolina, investing in transportation infrastructure is key to meeting our unique challenges and supporting future growth. Thank you to @RepRichHudson for hosting me at the North Carolina Economic Development Summit to discuss the infrastructure” (May 14, 2026).

Later that same day, he posted a brief message underscoring his focus on future development: “The road ahead starts now!” (May 14, 2026).

Rouzer has consistently secured re-election since first winning office in 2014. He defeated Jonathan Barfield Jr. in that year’s general election with nearly 60% of the vote. In subsequent elections, he maintained similar margins against challengers including J. Wesley Casteen (2016), Kyle Horton (2018), Chris Ward (2020), Charles Graham (2022), and Marlando Pridgen (2024). His continued electoral success underscores his established presence within North Carolina politics.
