Childhood trauma and resiliency is topic of free event Feb. 13
Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope is the topic of a free event Feb. 13, 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Pender County Agricultural Extension Building, 801 S. Walker St. in Burgaw.
The public is invited to the screening of a film about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The film focuses on the effects of childhood trauma. There will be a discussion about resilience and the impacts upon our county.
The evening includes dinner, give-a-ways, and valuable information. Children are welcome to enjoy a separate movie and dinner. The children will be attended by qualified child caretakers.
