PENDER COUNTY: Pender County Health Department offers immunization and flu shots

Pender County issued the following announcement on Feb. 10.

Pender County Health and Human Services offers immunizations and flu shots at two convenient locations.

“The spread of vaccine preventable diseases presents a real threat to the health and quality of life of the citizens of Pender County,” said Carolyn Moser, Pender County Health and Human Services Director. “The goal of the health department’s immunization program is to eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases in the county.”

Immunizations are available on a walk-in basis at two locations – the Pender County Health Department clinic in Burgaw and at the Hampstead Annex.

The Pender County Health Department is located at 803 South Walker St. in Burgaw. The hours of operation at this clinic are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Hampstead Annex clinic is located at 15060 US Hwy 17. The clinic is open the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 12 – 5 p.m.
