New Hanover County seeking applicants for boards and committees

County of New Hanover issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.

To provide opportunities for citizens to participate in county government, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners is seeking interested citizens to apply for appointment to the following:

  • New Hanover County Board of Adjustment
    • Category: At-Large
  • New Hanover County Board of Mechanical Examiners
    • Category: Mechanical Contractor
  • New HanoverCounty / City of Wilmington Community Relations Advisory Committee
    • Category: Civil Rights Community
  • New Hanover County Commission on African American History, Heritage and Culture
    • Categories: Business Community, Education Community
  • New Hanover County Cooperative Extension Advisory Council
  • New Hanover County Health and Human Services Board
    • Categories: Professional Engineer, Psychiatrist
  • New Hanover County Inspections Department Advisory Council
    • Category: Engineer
  • New Hanover County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council
    • Categories: Juvenile Defense Attorney, Under Age 21
  • New Hanover County Plumbing Board of Examiners
    • Categories: Journeyman Plumber, Master Plumber
  • New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority
    • Category: Kure Beach Hotel Owner/Manager

Applicants must reside in New Hanover County. Applications can be obtained at the Board of Commissioners Office, located at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Suite 175, by calling 798-7149, or on the county’s boards & committees web page at Commissioners.NHCgov.com. Applications are needed by October 29, 2021, for consideration by the Board at the November 15, 2021 meeting. Applicants must reside in New Hanover County.
