Brunswick Community College issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.
Shanequa Hill. Shanequa was just named the North Carolina Special Olympics Athlete of the Year! She is a student at the Brunswick Interagency Program at BCC and remarkable in every way. We are so proud of Shanequa and grateful to everyone who supported her on this journey. We know that even greater things are ahead. Her smile says it all! Congratulations, Shanequa!
