Brunswick Nature Park reopen to the public this Friday, March 25 at its regular hours of operation (8 a.m. to dusk daily).
The park was closed Sunday, March 20 due to a fire that affected property around and within the park. The fire was extinguished late Sunday evening.
County staff and Cape Fear Sorba representatives inspected the park and trails for any safety concerns this week. Individuals are encouraged to follow all park rules when visiting Brunswick County parks.
No injuries nor impacts to park visitors were reported from the fire. The North Carolina Forest Service is investigating the cause of the fire.
