ALL THE BEST: Some wonderful folks were honored at last night's Board of Education Meeting.
- Superintendent Dr. Jerry Oates received a standing ovation after Executive Director of the Southeast Education Alliance Dr. Kathy Spencer spoke of his impacts in Education and recent recognition as 2022-23 Southeastern NC Regional Superintendent of the Year.
- Dr. Oates also took a moment to honor Chief Operations Officer Sue Rutledge who will be retiring soon. Ms. Rutledge has been vital in making sure BCS has had everything we've needed through hurricanes and the pandemic and daily life.
- The Superintendent also shared a moment with Chief Communications Officer Daniel Seamans as he moves on in his journey. Mr. Seamans has helped showcase some of the amazing people and events and dedication inside BCS with a bad dad joke here and there.
We wish all the Best to our friends who have helped Brunswick County Schools inside and out during their time with us.
