There’s never a shortage of nominees when it comes to BCC’s Students of the Month. This month was no exception as Nursing Education Instructor Tammy Parrella, MSN-NE, RN, nominated nursing student Kristin Braxton. Parrella described Kristin as an “amazing nominee,” and within minutes of meeting her, it’s easy to understand why.
Kristin excels both in the classroom and in real-life medical situations. She recently demonstrated that while doing clinical work at the hospital. “Kristin’s patient was choking on his breakfast,” said Parrella. “Without hesitation, she performed the Heimlich maneuver and saved his life. I am so proud of her and all of our Nursing students. They amaze us every day.”
In addition to accolades from Parrella, Kristin received high praise from BCC President Gene Smith and other instructors and department representatives. Congratulations Kristin!
