UNCW men's soccer Head Coach Aidan Heaney has unveiled a 16-match schedule, which features nine Colonial Athletic Association opponents for the 2022 season.
The Seahawks, 9-6-2 in 2021, will play eight regular season home games and eight away games, highlighted by five in-state opponents. A three-game preseason slate includes a trip to High Point (Aug. 13) and home exhibitions with Mercer (Aug. 16) and Old Dominion (Aug. 20).
UNCW begins the new slate on the road in the nation's capital against American on Aug. 25. The Seahawks will play the Eagles for the first time since 2000. Trips to UNC Greensboro (Aug. 28) and first-year CAA member Monmouth (Sept. 3) complete the season-opening road swing.
UNCW kicks off its home schedule with College of Charleston on Sept. 10. The Seahawks stay in the Carolinas with matchups at home against South Carolina (Sept. 13) and on the road at North Carolina (Sept. 20) dotting the seven-game non-conference slate.
Defending CAA champion Hofstra visits the Port City on Oct. 8. The Seahawks held the 14th-ranked Pride to a scoreless draw on Long Island in the regular season finale last fall.
UNCW follows the Pride with Queens, which transitions to NCAA Division I play this year, at home on Oct. 11.
One of UNCW's oldest rivalries is renewed for the 55th time on Oct. 25 against Big South champion Campbell. The Seahawks have faced the Camels more than any other opponent since the two schools first met in 1966, including each of the past two seasons.
The regular season concludes with the annual Senior Night on Oct. 29 against Elon.
The CAA Tournament opens with the quarterfinals (Nov. 3) and semifinals (Nov. 6). The CAA Men's Soccer Championship is scheduled for Nov. 12.
Season tickets are on-sale now. A combo season ticket that includes both Men's and Women's Soccer season tickets is $40/Adults and $27/Youth (15 & under).
Season ticket prices for Women's Soccer only are $25/Adults and $15/Youth (15 & under). All season tickets include a one-time processing fee of $8 and all seating is general admission.
Single game tickets go on-sale on Monday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. Tickets to home matches are $10/Adult and $5/Youth.
