In celebration of the area’s rich history and culture, Brunswick Community College (BCC) is pleased to announce the return of the 15th Annual Intercultural Festival. Set for Saturday, November 5, from 11 AM-4 PM at the Odell Williamson Auditorium, the BCC Intercultural Festival is free of charge and open to the public. It features performing artists from seven countries, interactive cultural and art displays, children’s activities, a Parade of Nations, an International Village, food trucks, and more.
Headlining the day’s entertainment is singer, songwriter, and faith-based performing artist Ron Daise. A one-of- a-kind, award-winning entertainer, Daise promises to inspire, educate, and empower the audience as he brings the Gullah Geechee heritage to life on the main stage at 3 PM on November 5.
Presented by Brunswick Community College in cooperation with the No Arts Council, Brunswick County Schools, and RBC rth Carolina Arts Council, the Brunswick Thomas Keiser, Financial Advisor, festival goers can expect a day of culturally diverse and authentic music, food, dance, costumes, art, and performances. Children w ill receive a “Passport to Culture” for “visiting” the many countries represented. Festival hosts and representatives from Brunswick County Schools will also announce the winners of the annual Poster Art Contest. As a bonus and festival preview for stu performances of dents and families throughout Brunswick County, BCC will present two SUGAR SKULL! A Dia de Muertos Musical Adventure . A student-only daytime performance will occur in the Odell Williamson Auditorium on Thursday, November 3, followed by a free evening performance open to the public beginning at 6:00 PM.
