Veterans were front and center today as President Gene Smith led a special luncheon ceremony celebrating the service and sacrifice of many BCC students, faculty, and staff. Four student veterans received special honors. Paul Leonard, William Evans, and Lara Lybrand were awarded scholarships from the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). Representatives from the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) also attended and awarded a scholarship to John King.
Keynoting today’s celebration was BCC’s very own, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Stone, US Army, Retired. The BCC Student Government Association provided lunch. BCC is grateful to MOAA and the Vietnam Veterans Association for their generosity and continued support of our students.
