Due to the freezing weather forecast with lows around 20 degrees for December 22 through December 27, the Municipal Golf Course will book tee times only two days in advance instead of the usual seven days.
This will allow the golf maintenance staff time to cover the greens with the tarps. Staff will continue to monitor the weather and make adjustments as necessary.
Once the temperatures have warmed up the protective tarps will be removed, and play can be resumed.
By booking tee times only two days in advance, staff can better serve the public by preventing golfers from coming to the course and then finding that it's closed.
