How much did Pender County-based Pender Republican Party spend in Q4 2022 to have highest expenses in the quarter?

Pender Republican Party spent the most out of political committees within cities associated with Pender County during the fourth quarter of 2022.

It spent $8,358 on 16 vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was for Electric Service to Duke Energy, which is based in the Wilmington area.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Pender County during the fourth quarter of 2022 came from Carson Smith for North Carolina House. It spent $5,096 during the time period on three different vendors.

What’s known as “dark money”, which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.

Political campaign financial data is often updated, leading to a sometimes incomplete picture of a committee or candidate's finances.
