Committee to Elect Pete Larkin in cities within Brunswick County outspends other political committees in September

Committee to Elect Pete Larkin spent the most out of political committees within cities associated with Brunswick County during September.

It spent $2,156 on six vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was for Advertisement to Pete Larkin, which is based in Sunset Beach.

The second largest political spend from a political committee operating in a city associated with Brunswick County during September came from Mike Wade for Oib Commissioner. It spent $202 during the time period on two different vendors.

What’s known as “dark money”, which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.

Political campaign financial data is often updated, leading to a sometimes incomplete picture of a committee or candidate's finances.
