Under President Biden, 279 individuals on the terrorist watch list have tried to illegally enter our nation. Under President Biden, nearly 50,000 pounds of fentanyl has been seized at the border – That’s enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States."

The senator highlighted the urgency of the situation, calling for President Biden to change course and collaborate with Republicans to solve the border crisis. Budd reiterated, "We know what to do. All we need is a president who takes this seriously and fulfills his oath to protect and defend this country."

In his speech, Budd also highlighted the concerns raised by border patrol agents and sheriffs from North Carolina's counties. He emphasized the need for policy changes that would empower border patrol agents to effectively combat illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and crime. Budd stated, "Every single county in North Carolina is now a border county because of Joe Biden’s policies."
