Census Bureau: 85% of people in Brunswick County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 133,789 citizens living in Brunswick County in 2021, 85% were old enough to vote, equating to 113,736 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 54,119 were male, constituting 47.6%, and 59,617 were female, making up 52.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Brunswick County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.8%.
