The City of Wilmington has announced that all its offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Despite the closure, recycling and trash services will continue as scheduled for Monday customers.

Residents are advised to place their carts out on Sunday evening or before 6 a.m. on Monday morning for regular trash services pickup. This includes recycling (if it is your week), yard waste, and bulky pickups. For those who need to schedule bulky, metal or electronics pickups on Memorial Day or Tuesday, May 28, they are urged to do so no later than Friday, May 24, before 4:30 p.m.

For any queries or appointment needs, residents can reach out to the city at 910.341.7875.
