The New Hanover County Commission for Women is organizing a luncheon panel discussion to mark National Women’s History Month. The event, which will focus on women's health issues, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Thalian Hall Ballroom in Wilmington.

This initiative is a joint effort by New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington's Commission for Women, in collaboration with the YWCA Lower Cape Fear. The aim is to shed light on significant health issues affecting women locally and globally.

The panel will feature several local healthcare professionals and community leaders: Salette Andrews from the Wilmington City Council; Jordyn Appel-Hughes, Executive Director of Feast Down East; Lindy Ford, a Registered Dietitian and Clinical/Functional Nutritionist; Dr. Constance Foreman from Novant Health; Adrienne Arrington-Kenion of Queen Esther Teas; Bernadette Correa, a Registered Nurse and Wellness Consultant; and Zoie Phillips, a Functional Medicine Physician Assistant.

Tickets are priced at $25 per person and can be purchased online. Proceeds from the event will benefit the YWCA Lower Cape Fear. For more information, Tomeka Jarreau from the New Hanover County Office of Diversity and Equity can be contacted at 910-793-7430 or via email at tjarreau@nhcgov.com.
