Residents in southern New Hanover County will soon have a new location for accessing nutrition services and other programming offered by the Senior Resource Center. Starting April 1, these services will be available at the Katie B. Hines Center located at 308 Cape Fear Blvd, Carolina Beach. This move comes after several months of providing services at St. Paul’s Methodist Church due to renovations at the Katie B. Hines Center.
Until March 31, participants can continue to receive programming and nutrition services at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on Harper Avenue. The transition to the Katie B. Hines Center will officially occur on April 1, with activities scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and lunch served at noon.
Senior Resource Center Director Amber Smith expressed gratitude for the temporary arrangement: “We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome from the congregation and staff at St. Paul’s Methodist Church as their facility has been a great location to serve the community since October.” She added, “We look forward to providing the same level of service at the Katie B. Hines Center once again starting in April.”
