City of Wilmington recently issued the following announcement.
The Cape Fear Garden Club partnered with Parks staff to plant a new pollinator garden at Empie Park. A variety of perennial plants along with 3 blooming trees were planted on March 10. There will be an additional planting day in the future to plant the remainder of the plants. The Alliance for Cape Fear Trees also provided a tree for the project.
