Surf City issued the following announcement on Mar. 26.
The Town of Surf City will continue to work with County, State, and Federal agencies in response to the COVID-
19 emergency. The Town’s Emergency Operations Center is operating on Day 7 in efforts to coordinate and
implement our response. We will provide periodic updates to keep you informed. At this point the following
actions have been taken:
1. Executive Order No. 117 – Governor Roy Cooper on K-12 Schools
2. Executive Order No. 118 – Governor Roy Cooper on Bars and Restaurants
3. Executive Order No. 119 – Governor Roy Cooper on Child Care
4. Executive Order No. 120 – Governor Roy Cooper on K-12 Schools Closure Extension and Additional
Restrictions on Mass Gathering Businesses
5. State of Emergency Declared – Governor Roy Cooper
6. National Emergency Declared - President Donald Trump
7. CDC Updates - Social distancing continues to be the preferred practice among everyone.

8. Town Updates – In efforts to reduce crowding and for public safety the Town of Surf City has closed
Town facilities to the public including:
