City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.
The Wilmington City Council will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 15. at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers located in City Hall, 102 North 3rd Street.
Items of interest include:
- Presentation of the annual update from CFPUA
- Update on the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee
- A $772,677 contract to build sidewalks along Oleander Drive from Wooster Street to Mimosa Place. This Transportation Bond project includes new pavement, curbing, sidewalks, pedestrian signals, signage and marking, and conversion of concrete medians to grass medians along this section of Oleander Drive. Construction will start later this month and be complete this Fall.
- An agreement authorizing Cape Fear Youth Soccer to contribute $225,000 toward the $800,000 total cost of athletic field lighting at the nCino Sports Complex. When construction is complete, the venue will have five permanently lighted fields.
