City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
Date: Saturday, February 26 Time: 9 am - 12 pm (or until supply runs out) 850 Trees
Location: Legion Stadium Pool, 2131 Carolina Beach Rd.
Trees will be distributed to the public free of charge. No pre-registration is required.
The event is organized by the Alliance for Cape Fear Trees with support from the City of Wilmington.
NOTE:
Each person can get 2 free trees.
NOTE: certain species may be limited to one per person. Please see the list below of trees available.
Pre-registration is not required. Trees will go quickly!
Arborists will also be available on the day of the event.
