Council meeting, Nov. 15

The Wilmington City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 15 inside Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 102 North Third Street. 

Items of interest include:

-Clean Energy Advisory Commission Annual Report

-An agreement to loan up to $698,593 to the Cape Fear Collective for the rehabilitation of the 15-unit Driftwood property (3820 Princess Place -Drive) for the purpose of providing permanent supportive housing (PSH). The funding would come from Community Development Block Grant - Corona -Virus (“CDBG-CV”) funds previously allocated for PSH. PSH provides no or low rent housing for people with a disability who have experienced homelessness for a least a year, or repeatedly over several years. Residents in PSH receive supportive services to assist them with daily living including, but not limited to, medical appointments, medication management, food, conflict resolution, social services, and family reunification.
