From February 18, 2023 Post.
Today at Williston Middle School, S.R.O. Deputy Teachey had a discussion with a classroom full of at-risk students. These students were selected due to a program they have at Williston called the M.T.S.S. (Multi-Tier Student Support), this program selects kids with the most referrals and has these conversations with them in hope that they begin to turn around their behavior. They discussed the importance of Black History Month and how far the African-American community has come over the years. He also stressed to the group how as a community, not to let the freedom fighter’s efforts go to waste.
