Rep. David Rouzer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina's 7th district, shared updates on his recent activities and engagements through a series of tweets. Rouzer has been serving in Congress since 2015 after replacing Mike McIntyre and previously served in the North Carolina Senate from 2009 to 2013.
On February 5, 2025, Rep. Rouzer expressed gratitude for an introduction by Chairman Babin and shared his enthusiasm about working on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee. He stated: "Thank you for the introduction and kind words Chairman Babin. Excited to get to work on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee!"
Later that day, Rouzer met with Joey Hopkins, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He highlighted their discussion topics in a tweet: "It was a pleasure meeting with Joey Hopkins, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Transportation. I look forward to working together for North Carolina on Helene recovery and reauthorizing our nation’s surface transportation systems."
In another post on February 5, Rouzer endorsed Scott Turner for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development due to Turner's expertise in urban development and community needs. He commented: "Scott Turner’s background in urban development, combined with his understanding of community needs, makes him an excellent choice for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development."
